Pick Log Overview

Pick Log provides a detailed view of every picking activity in your warehouse. See individual pick records with complete information including who picked each item, when it was picked, how long it took, and which bins were used. This detailed log helps you track picking performance, analyze productivity, and review complete picking history for any order.

Detailed Pick Records

See every individual pick activity with complete details including SKU, quantity, bin, location, user, and elapsed time.

Performance Tracking

Track picking times and user productivity. Identify which items take longer to pick and compare user performance.

Advanced Filtering

Filter by company, ship number, tray, pallet, box, order number, method, user, status, job, SKU, bin, location, or address.

Expandable Details

Expand any order row to see detailed SKU information including images, descriptions, sold prices, quantities, bins, and locations.

Export Data

Export filtered log data to CSV or Excel format for reporting and analysis.

Year Filtering

Filter by year or view last 3 months of activity. Access historical picking data easily.

  1. Navigate to Pick Log

    Click Pick Log from the warehouse menu or navigate to /logpick.php. The page loads showing all picking log records.

  2. View Log Table

    Browse the table showing detailed information: Company, Ship#, Tray#, Pallet, BoxID, Order#, Method, User, Status, Job#, SKU, Units, Picked, Picked Status, Bin, Location, Elapsed time, and Address.

  3. Apply Filters

    Use column filters to narrow down records by any column value. Filters work together to refine your search.

  4. Review Details

    Expand order rows to see detailed SKU information for each item in the order.

The Pick Log table displays comprehensive picking information:

Order Information:

  • Company - Account/company name (Company_name)
  • Ship# - Internal system order ID (Shipping_number), clickable link to view order details
  • Tray# - Tray number identifier (traynum)
  • Pallet - Pallet identifier (CartonId)
  • BoxID - Box identifier (multibox_id), clickable link to view multibox details
  • Order# - Customer order number (orderNum)

Picking Details:

  • Method - Picking method used:
    • full_fill - Full order fulfillment
    • Other method types as configured
  • Source - Where picking was performed (P&P, QC, etc.)
  • User - Username of person who performed the pick (Username)
  • Status - Current picking status:
    • done - Pick completed
    • loaded - Order loaded for picking
    • picked - Item picked
    • WaitingQC - Waiting for Quality Control
    • finishedQC - Quality Control finished
  • Job# - Job identifier (job_id) if order is part of a picking job

Item Details:

  • SKU - Product SKU that was picked
    • For full_fill method, shows badge with total item count instead of individual SKU
  • Units - Total units in the order (qty)
  • Picked - Quantity picked (picked)
    • For full_fill method, shows total units instead of picked quantity
  • Picked Status - Picking completion status:
    • incomplete - Not all items picked (shown as warning badge)
    • Empty if complete

Location Information:

  • Bin - Bin location where item was picked from (includes bin tag if available)
  • Location - Warehouse location identifier
  • Elapsed time - Time taken to pick this item (hours:minutes:seconds format)
    • Calculated from Start_time to End_time
    • Shows as tooltip with full time range
  • Address - Customer shipping address (Address1 and Address2)

View detailed SKU information for any order:

  1. Find Order Row

    Locate the order you want to review in the Pick Log table.

  2. Expand Row

    Click on the order row to expand it (if expandable rows are enabled).

  3. View SKU Details

    See detailed table showing:

    • Image - Product thumbnail image
    • SKU - Product SKU (clickable link to product mirror)
    • Description - Product description
    • Sold Price - Item sale price
    • Quantity - Quantity for this SKU
    • Bin - Bin location
    • Location - Warehouse location
  4. Review Progress

    See progress indicators showing:

    • ORDER - Percentage of order completed (progress bar)
    • JOB - Percentage of job completed (if part of a job, progress bar)
  5. Collapse Row

    Click the row again to collapse and hide details.

Filter log records using column filters:

Available Filters:

  • Company - Text filter to find specific company names
  • Ship# - Text filter to find specific shipping numbers
  • Tray# - Text filter to find specific tray numbers
  • Pallet - Text filter to find specific pallet identifiers
  • BoxID - Text filter to find specific box IDs
  • Order# - Text filter to find specific order numbers
  • Method - Text filter to find specific picking methods
  • User - Text filter to find specific usernames
  • Status - Text filter to find specific status values
  • Job# - Text filter to find specific job numbers
  • SKU - Text filter to find specific SKUs
  • Picked Status - Text filter to find incomplete picks
  • Bin - Text filter to find specific bins
  • Location - Text filter to find specific locations
  • Elapsed time - Range filter (Min/Max) to find picks within time range
  • Address - Text filter to find specific addresses

Using Column Filters:

  1. Locate Filter Box

    Find the filter input box below each column header.

  2. Enter Filter Value

    Type your search value in the filter box. Filters apply automatically after 1 second delay.

  3. Use Range Filter

    For Elapsed time, enter minimum and maximum values in the range filter boxes.

  4. Clear Filter

    Click the reset button (X icon) on any filter to clear it.

  5. Reset All Filters

    Click Reset Filters button to clear all column filters at once.

Filter log records by year or view recent activity:

Default View:

  • Shows Last 3 months of picking activity by default

Year Selection:

  1. Open Year Dropdown

    Click the year filter dropdown button (shows “Last 3 months” or “Logs [YEAR]”).

  2. Select Time Period

    Choose from:

    • Last 3 months - Recent activity (default)
    • Logs [YEAR] - Specific year (e.g., “Logs 2024”)
  3. View Filtered Data

    Table refreshes automatically showing only records from selected time period.

Export Pick Log data for reporting or analysis:

CSV Export:

  1. Apply Filters (Optional)

    Set up any filters you want to include in the export.

  2. Click CSV Button

    Click the CSV button in the table toolbar.

  3. Confirm Export

    If your query has more than 1,000 records, you’ll see a warning. Reduce filters if needed.

  4. Download File

    CSV file downloads automatically with filename: picking_log_YYYY_MM_DD_HH_mm_ss.csv

Excel Export:

  1. Apply Filters (Optional)

    Set up any filters you want to include in the export.

  2. Click EXCEL Button

    Click the EXCEL button in the table toolbar.

  3. Confirm Export

    If your query has more than 1,000 records, you’ll see a warning. Reduce filters if needed.

  4. Download File

    Excel file downloads automatically with filename: picking_log_YYYY_MM_DD_HH_mm_ss.xlsx

Click on Ship# links to view full order information:

Order Status Links:

  • Status 3 (Pending) - Links to Order_List_Pendding_Aview.php
  • Status 4 (Processing) - Links to Order_List_Processing_Aview.php
  • Status 9 (Shipped) - Links to Order_List_Shipped_Aview.php
  • Other Statuses - Links to All_Orders_Aview.php

All links open in new tabs for easy navigation.

Some orders have multiple boxes. View box details:

  1. Find BoxID

    Locate the BoxID column in the Pick Log table.

  2. Click BoxID

    Click on a BoxID number to view multibox information.

  3. Review Box Details

    A modal or popup shows detailed information about the box and its contents.

done:

  • Pick completed successfully
  • Item fully picked and processed
  • Ready for next step in fulfillment

loaded:

  • Order loaded for picking
  • Pick process started
  • Items being collected

picked:

  • Item picked from bin
  • Pick in progress
  • Not yet completed

WaitingQC:

  • Pick completed, waiting for Quality Control
  • Order ready for QC verification
  • QC process not yet started

finishedQC:

  • Quality Control completed
  • Order verified and approved
  • Ready for shipping

incomplete:

  • Not all items in order have been picked
  • Shown as warning badge
  • Order needs more picking activity

Empty/Complete:

  • All items picked
  • No status badge shown
  • Order picking complete

full_fill:

  • Full order fulfillment method
  • Shows total item count instead of individual SKUs
  • All items picked together

Other Methods:

  • Various picking methods as configured
  • May show individual SKU details
  • Method-specific picking workflows

Use Year Filter

Start with “Last 3 months” to focus on recent activity. Use year filters to access historical data when needed.

Filter by User

Filter by username to review individual picker performance. Compare picking times and identify training opportunities.

Check Elapsed Times

Review elapsed times to identify items that take longer to pick. This helps optimize bin locations and workflows.

Monitor Incomplete Picks

Filter by “Picked Status” to find incomplete picks that may need attention or follow-up.

Export Regularly

Export log data regularly for performance analysis. Track trends and identify bottlenecks over time.

Review Job Progress

Filter by Job# to see progress on specific picking jobs. Use progress bars in expanded details to track completion.

Problem: Pick Log page doesn’t load or shows access denied.

Solutions:

  1. Verify you have All_Orders_A user level permissions
  2. Check that Distribution Jobs is enabled in system settings (ConfigModule: DistributionJobs = ‘Y’)
  3. Ensure you’re logged in with appropriate user level
  4. Contact administrator if feature is not enabled
  5. Try refreshing the page

Problem: Pick Log table is empty or shows no records.

Solutions:

  1. Check if any picking activities have occurred - log only shows completed picks
  2. Clear all filters - you may have filters excluding all records
  3. Check year filter - default shows “Last 3 months”, try selecting a different year
  4. Verify orders have been picked using mobile app or picking system
  5. Check if log data exists in database (contact administrator)

Problem: Column filters don’t show expected results.

Solutions:

  1. Wait for filter delay (1 second) - filters apply automatically after typing stops
  2. Verify filter values are correct (check spelling, format)
  3. Clear all filters and reapply one at a time to identify the issue
  4. Check if multiple filters are conflicting
  5. Click Reset Filters button to clear all filters
  6. Refresh the page and reapply filters

Problem: Clicking on order row doesn’t expand to show SKU details.

Solutions:

  1. Wait for page to fully load - details load via AJAX
  2. Check browser console for JavaScript errors
  3. Verify order has SKU data available
  4. Refresh the page and try again
  5. Try a different browser
  6. Check internet connection - details load from server

Problem: Export buttons don’t appear or don’t work.

Solutions:

  1. Verify export feature is enabled in your system
  2. Check if you have export permissions
  3. Ensure filters are applied correctly before exporting
  4. Reduce filters if query exceeds 1,000 record limit
  5. Check browser popup blockers
  6. Try exporting a smaller date range
  7. Contact administrator if export feature is not available

Problem: Elapsed time doesn’t match expected duration.

Solutions:

  1. Verify Start_time and End_time are recorded correctly
  2. Check if pick was completed properly
  3. Review detailed time information in tooltip
  4. Ensure times are in correct timezone
  5. Contact administrator if times consistently incorrect

Problem: Order status doesn’t match actual picking state.

Solutions:

  1. Refresh the page - status updates may not be reflected yet
  2. Check if order is currently being processed - status may be updating
  3. Verify order has completed picking process
  4. Review Processing_time field for actual status
  5. Contact administrator if status consistently incorrect
