
Profit Reports provides detailed profit analysis for all shipped products in your account. View profit margins, track product profitability by sales channel, analyze cost vs. selling price, and export profit data for further analysis and reporting.

Navigate to Account Overview
Go to My Account → Account Overview or access Front_tittle.php directly.

Click Profit Reports Link
Click the Profit Reports link in the Account Overview page to view profit reports.

View Profit Reports
The Profit Reports page displays all profit data for shipped products in your account.
Profit Reports shows profit information for products that have been shipped. Profit is automatically calculated when orders are shipped and stored in the system.
Profit Formula
- Profit = (Sold Price - Cost) × Quantity
- Profit is calculated automatically when orders are shipped
- Only shipped products (type_reg = ‘Shipped’) are included in profit reports
Example
- Sold Price: $25.00
- Cost: $15.00
- Quantity: 2
- Profit: ($25.00 - $15.00) × 2 = $20.00
The Profit Reports table displays the following columns:
shipping#
- The shipping number or order ID associated with the profit record
- Links to the specific order that generated the profit
Order #
- The order number for the shipped product
- Helps identify which order generated the profit
Reference #
- The order reference number
- Customer-facing order reference
Channel Name
- The sales channel where the order originated
- Examples: Amazon, Shopify, eBay, etc.
- Filterable with autocomplete suggestions
Sku
- The product SKU (Stock Keeping Unit)
- Unique identifier for the product
Upc
- The product UPC (Universal Product Code)
- Barcode identifier for the product
Description
- The product description
- Full product name and details
Cost
- The cost per unit of the product at the time of shipping
- Used to calculate profit margin
Sold Price
- The selling price per unit of the product
- Price charged to the customer
Qty
- The quantity of products shipped
- Number of units sold
Profit
- The calculated profit for this transaction
- Formula: (Sold Price - Cost) × Quantity
- Displayed with 3 decimal places
Cost Date
- The date when the cost was recorded or updated
- Shows when the cost information was last updated
- Filterable with date range picker
Order Date
- The date when the order was placed
- Original order creation date
- Filterable with date range picker
Column Filters
- Each column has a search filter field below the header
- Type in the filter field and press Enter to filter
- Filters work independently - use multiple filters together
- Click the X icon in filter fields to clear individual filters
Date Range Filters
Cost Date Filter
- Click the Cost Date filter field to open date range picker
- Select predefined ranges:
- Today
- Yesterday
- Last 7 Days
- Last 30 Days
- This Month
- Last Month
- Last 2 Months
- Last 3 Months
- Or select custom date range with time picker
- Click Clear to remove date filter
Order Date Filter
- Click the Order Date filter field to open date range picker
- Same options as Cost Date filter
- Filter by when orders were placed
Channel Name Filter
- Type in the Channel Name filter field
- Autocomplete suggestions appear as you type
- Select from available channel names
Search Filter
- Use the global search box to search across SKU, Description, and UPC
- Searches all three fields simultaneously
Column Sorting
- Click any column header to sort by that column
- Click again to reverse sort order
- Default sort: Order Date (descending - most recent first)
- Profit column is not sortable (calculated field)
Records Per Page
- Select how many records to display per page
- Options: 100, 150, 200 records per page
- Use pagination controls to navigate between pages
Table Display
- Table uses server-side processing for fast loading
- Data loads automatically as you navigate
- Loading indicator shows while data is being fetched
CSV Export
- Click CSV button to export current filtered view
- Exports only visible/filtered data
- Opens download dialog
Excel Export
- Click Excel button to export current filtered view
- Exports only visible/filtered data
- Downloads as Excel file
PDF Export
- Click PDF button to export current filtered view
- Exports in landscape orientation
- Uses Legal page size
- Exports only visible/filtered data
Print
- Click Print button to print current view
- Opens browser print dialog
- Prints only visible/filtered data
All to CSV
- Click All to CSV button to export ALL profit records
- Exports all data regardless of filters or pagination
- Includes all columns and all records
- Useful for complete data analysis
- Filter first: Apply filters to export only relevant data
- Use “All to CSV”: For complete data analysis, use “All to CSV” to get all records
- Date ranges: Export specific date ranges for period analysis
- Channel analysis: Filter by channel before exporting to analyze channel-specific profits
Review profit reports regularly to track profitability trends. Analyze monthly or quarterly to identify patterns and opportunities.
Compare profit margins across different sales channels. Identify which channels are most profitable and optimize your channel strategy.
Identify high-profit and low-profit products. Focus marketing efforts on high-profit products and review pricing for low-profit items.
Monitor cost changes over time. Track how cost updates affect profit margins and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
history_product_profits Table
- Profit data is stored in the
history_product_profits table
- Records are created automatically when orders are shipped
- Only shipped products (type_reg = ‘Shipped’) appear in reports
Cost Source
- Cost comes from the product cost at the time of shipping
- Cost date shows when the cost was recorded
- Cost may change over time, but profit uses cost at shipping time
Sold Price Source
- Sold price comes from the order item price
- Reflects the actual price charged to the customer
- Includes any discounts or adjustments applied
Quantity Source
- Quantity comes from the shipped quantity
- Reflects actual units shipped, not ordered
Real-time Updates
- Profit data updates automatically when orders are shipped
- Historical data remains unchanged
- Cost updates affect future profit calculations, not historical records
Account Filtering
- Reports show only data for your account
- Multi-account users see only their account’s data
- Data is filtered by account ID automatically
Problem: Profit Reports page redirects or doesn’t appear
- Solution: The Profits module may not be enabled for your account. Contact ShipEdge support to enable the module.
Problem: Profit Reports table is empty
- Solution:
- Check if you have shipped orders
- Profit data is only created for shipped products
- Verify date filters aren’t excluding all data
- Clear all filters to see all available data
Problem: Profit amounts seem incorrect
- Solution:
- Verify cost and sold price are correct in product records
- Check that cost date reflects when cost was updated
- Review order details to confirm quantities shipped
- Contact support if calculations appear consistently incorrect
Problem: Export doesn’t include all data
- Solution:
- Use “All to CSV” button for complete data export
- Regular export buttons only export filtered/visible data
- Clear filters before exporting if you want all data
Problem: Page loads slowly or times out
- Solution:
- Apply filters to reduce data volume
- Use date range filters to limit time period
- Reduce records per page setting
- Contact support if issues persist
