Account Overview

Account Overview is your central hub for managing your ShipEdge account settings and accessing account-related features. From this page, you can quickly navigate to preferences, billing information, password changes, and other account management tools.

Centralized Access

Access all account-related features from one place. No need to remember multiple URLs or navigate through different menus to find account settings.

Quick Navigation

Visual buttons and links make it easy to find and access the account feature you need. Each option is clearly labeled and organized.

Account Management

Manage your account settings, preferences, billing, and security all from this central location. Everything you need is just one click away.

User-Specific Options

The page shows options relevant to your user type and permissions. You’ll only see features you have access to, keeping the interface clean and focused.

  1. Navigate to My Account

    Click My Account in the main navigation menu. The Account Overview page loads showing available account management options.

  2. View Available Options

    The page displays buttons or links to different account features based on your user type and permissions:

    • Preferences: Available to account owners (User Type 1)
    • Change Password: Available to all users
    • Statements: Available if enabled for your account
    • Disputes: Available to all users
    • Shipping Estimates: Available to all users
  3. Access Account Features

    Click any button or link to navigate to the corresponding account management page.

Access: Click Preferences button (available to account owners only)

Purpose: Configure account settings, communication preferences, automation rules, and other account-wide settings.

  • User profile information
  • Account settings
  • Communication templates
  • Mobile app configuration
  • Operations preferences
  • Channel automation settings

Access: Click Change Password button (available to all users)

Purpose: Update your account password for security.

Features:

  • Change your current password
  • Set a new password
  • Confirm password change

Access: Click Statements button (available if enabled for your account)

Purpose: View and download account statements and invoices.

Features:

  • View billing statements
  • Download invoices
  • Review account charges
  • Track payment history

Access: Click Disputes button (available to all users)

Purpose: View and manage billing disputes or account-related disputes.

Features:

  • View dispute history
  • Submit new disputes
  • Track dispute status
  • Review dispute resolutions

Access: Click Shipping Estimates button (available to all users)

Purpose: Access shipping rate estimates and rate shopping tools.

Features:

  • View shipping rate estimates
  • Compare carrier rates
  • Rate shopping functionality

The Account Overview page displays options in a grid layout with visual buttons or links:

Row 1:

  • Preferences (if User Type 1)
  • Change Password

Row 2:

  • Statements (if enabled)
  • Disputes

Row 3:

  • Shipping Estimates

Note: Available options depend on:

  • Your user type (User Type 1 sees Preferences)
  • Account settings (Statements must be enabled)
  • Account type (some features may not be available for warehouse customers)

Account owners have full access to account management features:

  • ✅ Preferences (full account settings)
  • ✅ Change Password
  • ✅ Statements (if enabled)
  • ✅ Disputes
  • ✅ Shipping Estimates

Non-owner users have limited access:

  • ❌ Preferences (not available)
  • ✅ Change Password
  • ✅ Statements (if enabled)
  • ✅ Disputes
  • ✅ Shipping Estimates

Regular Password Updates

Change your password regularly for better security. Use the Change Password option from Account Overview to update your credentials.

Review Statements Regularly

Check your statements regularly to monitor account charges and ensure billing accuracy. Download statements for your records.

Configure Preferences

If you’re an account owner, take time to configure Preferences properly. This ensures your account works optimally for your business needs.

Monitor Disputes

Check the Disputes section regularly if you have any billing concerns or account issues. Submit disputes promptly for faster resolution.

Preferences Option Not Visible

  • Preferences are only available to User Type 1 (account owners)
  • If you need to change preferences, contact your account owner
  • Or contact ShipEdge support if you believe you should have access

Statements Option Not Visible

  • Statements must be enabled for your account
  • Check with your account administrator or ShipEdge support
  • Some account types (like warehouse customers) may not have statements enabled

Cannot Access Account Overview

  • Ensure you’re logged into ShipEdge
  • Verify you have permission to access account features
  • Try logging out and logging back in
  • Contact support if the issue persists

Options Look Different

  • Available options depend on your user type and account settings
  • Some features may be hidden if not applicable to your account
  • This is normal behavior based on your permissions

Page Not Loading

  • Check your internet connection
  • Try refreshing the page
  • Clear your browser cache
  • Contact support if the problem continues
