
Packing Lists show detailed information about orders including products, quantities, bin locations, and shipping details. Print packing lists to help warehouse staff pack orders correctly and include them in shipments. You can print standard packing lists or customize templates to match your brand.

Packing lists include all order details: customer information, product descriptions, bin locations, serial numbers, and shipping method.
Packing lists can be printed from several locations:
From Processing Orders (shipping.php):
- Click Actions dropdown menu
- Select Print Packing List
From Shipping Labels (shipping_labels2.php):
- Select orders using checkboxes
- Click Fulfillment button
- Check Print Packing List option
- Click Print
From Order Details:
- Open order details view
- Click Print Packing List from the actions menu
Packing lists include the following information:
- Ship# - Internal shipping number
- Order# - Customer order number
- Reference# - Order reference number
- Transaction Date - Date order was processed
- Box Number - Box number for multi-box orders (e.g., “1/3” means box 1 of 3)
- Ship To - Shipping address (name, company, address, city, state, zip, country, phone, email)
- Bill To - Billing address (if different from shipping)
- From - Warehouse/fulfillment center address
Each product line shows:
- SKU - Product SKU code
- UPC - Universal Product Code
- Description - Product description
- Quantity - Number of units
- Bin - Warehouse bin location
- Location - Warehouse location
- Lot - Lot number (if applicable)
- Expiration Date - Expiration date (if applicable)
- Serial Numbers - Serial numbers (if applicable)
- UOM - Unit of measure
- Sold Price - Product price
- Currency - Price currency
- Country of Origin - Product origin country
- Tariff Code - Harmonization/tariff code
- Carrier - Shipping carrier name
- Ship Method - Shipping method (Ground, Express, Priority, etc.)
- Package Type - Type of packaging used
- Weight - Package weight
- Tracking Number - Carrier tracking number (if available)
- Order Comments - Internal order comments
- Customer Comments - Customer-specified comments
- Attached Files - PDF files attached to the order (if any)
- Procedures - Special handling procedures (if applicable)
- Store Information - Store logo, promotions, policies (if configured)

Navigate to Processing Orders
Go to Processing Orders page (shipping.php).

Select Order
Find the order you want to print a packing list for. You can browse the table or use filters.

Open Actions Menu
Click the Actions dropdown button in the order row.

Select Print Packing List
Click Print Packing List from the dropdown menu.

Review Packing List
Packing list opens in a print preview modal. Review the information before printing.

Print PDF
Click Print PDF button to print the packing list using your browser’s print function.

Select Orders
Check boxes next to orders you want to print packing lists for.

Open Fulfillment Modal
Click Fulfillment button at the top of the page.

Select Print Packing List
Check the Print Packing List checkbox in the fulfillment options.

Configure Other Options (optional)
Select other documents to print (Picking Summary, Instructions List, Labels).

Print
Click Print button to process all selected documents.
For orders with multiple boxes, print a separate packing list for each box:

Select Order
Find an order with multiple boxes (indicated by Box Number like “1/3”, “2/3”, etc.).

Open Actions Menu
Click the Actions dropdown button.

Select Print Packing List by Box
Click Print Packing List by Box from the dropdown menu.

Review Box Lists
Each box opens in a separate print preview. Review each box’s contents.

Print Each Box
Print each box’s packing list separately.
Standard packing list uses the default template configured for your warehouse. Shows all order and product information in a standard format.
Custom packing slip uses a customized template created in the Packing List Editor. Can include custom branding, logos, and additional fields.
To use custom packing slip:
- Custom template must be created in Packing List Editor (
packinglist.php)
- Template is automatically used when printing from Processing Orders
- Custom templates are account-specific
For international orders, packing lists include additional information:
- Country of origin for each product
- Tariff/harmonization codes
- Commercial invoice information (if applicable)
- Customs documentation details
Some accounts have invoice-style packing lists enabled. These show pricing information and can be used as invoices for domestic orders.
8x11 (Letter):
- Standard US letter size (8.5” x 11”)
- Portrait orientation
- Used when warehouse preference is set to “8x11”
A4:
- International A4 size
- Portrait orientation
- Used when warehouse preference is set to “A4”

Access Packing List Editor
Navigate to Packing List Editor (packinglist.php) from the warehouse menu.

Select Template
Choose a template dimension or create a new template.

Edit Template
Use the visual editor to customize:
- Add company logo
- Modify layout and styling
- Add custom fields
- Include promotions or policies
- Adjust font sizes and colors

Preview Template
Preview the template with sample order data to see how it looks.

Save Template
Click Save to save your custom template. It will be used for all future packing lists.
If orders have attached PDF files (uploaded by sellers or through integrations), these files can be printed along with packing lists:
- Attached files appear in a separate section
- Files are merged with packing list PDF
- Ship# is added to each page of attached files
Packing lists track print status:
- Printed - Packing list has been printed
- Not Printed - Packing list hasn’t been printed yet
- Filter orders by print status to find orders without printed packing lists
For orders with multiple boxes:
- Each box can have its own packing list
- Box number is shown (e.g., “Box 1 of 3”)
- Products are grouped by box
- Each box shows its own weight and packaging information
If products have serial numbers:
- Serial numbers are listed on packing lists
- Each serial number is shown next to its product
- Helps track which serial numbers were shipped
For products with lot numbers or expiration dates:
- Lot numbers are shown on packing lists
- Expiration dates are displayed
- Helps ensure FIFO/FEFO inventory management
Print packing lists before starting to pack orders. This ensures you have the correct information and can verify products as you pack.
For orders with multiple boxes, print packing lists by box. This helps ensure each box contains the correct products.
Verify bin locations on packing lists match actual warehouse locations. Update bin assignments if products have moved.
Print attached files along with packing lists when available. These may contain important order-specific information.
Customize packing list templates to match your brand. Add logos and company information for a professional appearance.
Use print status filters to find orders without printed packing lists. This helps ensure all orders are properly documented.
Problem: Packing list doesn’t appear or won’t print.
Solutions:
- Check order status - orders must be in Processing status (Status 9)
- Verify order has products - orders without products won’t generate packing lists
- Check browser popup blocker - ensure popups are allowed
- Try printing individual order - use Actions menu on single order
- Check browser console for JavaScript errors
- Try different browser
- Verify PDF viewer is working - test with another PDF
Problem: Packing list shows incomplete product information.
Solutions:
- Verify products are assigned to order - check order details
- Check bin assignments - products need bin locations
- Review product data - ensure SKUs, descriptions, and other fields are complete
- Refresh order data - reload the order page
- Check product status - ensure products are active and available
Problem: Custom packing slip template doesn’t show when printing.
Solutions:
- Verify template is saved - check Packing List Editor
- Check account assignment - ensure template is assigned to correct account
- Clear browser cache - old templates may be cached
- Verify template format - ensure template is valid HTML/Twig
- Check template permissions - ensure you have access to custom templates
- Try standard template - verify standard printing works first
Problem: Packing lists for multi-box orders don’t separate by box.
Solutions:
- Use “Print Packing List by Box” option - don’t use standard print
- Verify order has multiple boxes - check Box Number field
- Check multibox configuration - ensure multibox is properly set up
- Review box assignments - verify products are assigned to correct boxes
- Try printing individual boxes - select specific box numbers
Problem: Attached PDF files don’t appear with packing lists.
Solutions:
- Verify files are attached - check order details for attached files
- Check file format - ensure files are PDF format
- Review file permissions - ensure files are accessible
- Try printing attached files separately - use “Print Attached File” option
- Check file size - very large files may not merge properly
- Verify file upload - ensure files were uploaded successfully
Problem: Packing list template shows formatting problems.
Solutions:
- Review template code - check for HTML/CSS errors
- Test with sample data - use Packing List Editor preview
- Check template dimensions - ensure dimensions match paper size
- Verify fonts - ensure fonts are available
- Review custom fields - ensure field names are correct
- Check template syntax - ensure Twig syntax is valid
Problem: Print status doesn’t update after printing packing list.
Solutions:
- Refresh the page - print status updates on page reload
- Check order status - print status only updates for Processing orders
- Verify print action completed - ensure print modal closed successfully
- Review activity log - check if print action was logged
- Try printing again - sometimes status updates on second print
- Check user permissions - ensure you have permission to update print status
